(More) Essential Oils and the Benefits of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils are a popular form of natural medicine. Aromatherapy has been a common practice for thousands of years and has started to gain more popularity in recent years. Essential oils are used for natural pain relief, skin care, improved digestion, and many other medical conditions. While essential oils are popular, it is important to consult your doctor before using them. Some oils can have negative side effects if used in high quantities and others may compete with your medication.

Kozi’s wraps are filled with 12 herbs and each herb provides different health benefits. This article will describe 6 of the herbs, the health benefits they provide as essential oils, and how they are used for aromatherapy.

 

Spearmint

Spearmint is similar to peppermint, but many consider it to be milder. Its taste isn’t as strong, but it provides similar aromatherapy benefits. This herb helps relieve stress and can calm muscle spasms. Like peppermint, spearmint is used in Kozi wraps to help relieve pain and muscle spasms.

 

Hops

The first thing that comes to many peoples’ minds when they hear the word “hops” is usually beer. Many people don’t know that hops essential oil offers many great health benefits. These benefits include stress relief and improved sleep. Hops is a sedative and is used in Kozi wraps to promote calmness.

 

Yellow Dock

Yellow dock is a leafy plant with roots that can be safely used for medical purposes if it is take in small or moderate amounts. The most common uses for yellow dock include relieving nasal inflammation, treating infections, and skin conditions. It is used inside Kozi wraps to help improve circulation.

 

Lemon Grass

Lemon grass has a citrusy scent and is used to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation. It can also help calm anxiety, stop excessive sweating, and can relieve headaches. We use lemon grass in our wraps to help relieve pain.

 

Cinnamon

Cinnamon essential oil smells good and is used for many different things. This herb promotes better circulation, help relieve pain, and improve digestion. We use Cinnamon inside our Kozi wraps to help relieve muscle spasms.

 

Yarrow

Yarrow essential oil comes from a flowering plant named. Used to help relieve arthritis pain, Yarrow essential oil can also help reduce swelling in injured muscles. This herb is used in our wraps to help support healing.
