The start of a new year is a common source of motivation to change. Showing gratitude will make others happy and will strengthen your relationships.
Be nicer to yourself
A simple way to be more confident in yourself is to be your own cheerleader. Learn how to accept complements and to recognize when you’ve done a good job. Even when others may not say something or acknowledge them, your personal victories should be celebrated. Stop putting yourself down in moments of failure and try to correct your mistakes by figuring out what you’re doing well.
Appreciate the simple things more
It’s important to appreciate the little things in life. Recognize the small gestures that others make and appreciate the seemingly boring days. Sometimes a slow day is a good thing because it gives us a chance to re-charge. You can find good moments in every day if you take the time to look for them.
